The last piece of flashing at a roof/wall intersection, called a diverter, or “kick-out” flashing, is perhaps the most critical for the wall cladding as it serves to divert roof water away from the wall and prevents water from getting behind the cladding. This diverter flashing can be pre-fabricated in metal or PVC, or folded on site from standard metal flashing material. Note the EIFS is held a minimum of 2” above the roof. |
