STO CORP. ADVANCES WATERPROOFING TECHNOLOGY
WITH CONVIENENT CLOTH JOINT REINFORCEMENT
Ease of installation one of the best features
ATLANTA – (March 16, 2007) Sto Corp., the innovative world leader in cladding, coating, and restoration systems, has advanced the technology of the StoGuard™ spray-on building wrap product line with StoGuard™ Fabric. Also introduced as part of this same system is a new fabric product called StoGuard RediCorner for use in rough openings.
StoGuard Fabric is a non-woven cloth reinforcement that is part of the StoGuard assembly and is used with either Sto Gold Coat® or Sto EmeraldCoat® to treat sheathing joints, inside and outside corners and rough openings.
“An advantage in using this fabric is that it creates a 2 component StoGuard system,” said Lisa Petsko, Sto product manager. “Contractors will appreciate the ease of installation with this fabric allowing them to be more efficient on the jobsite.”
StoGuard RediCorner is a pre-formed fabric piece used in the corners of the rough openings for quicker installation. This product translates into easy and consistent installation of protection in one of the most critical areas on any wall - the rough openings. Sto gives contractors a tool that can make their job easier by taking the guess work out of making sure the openings are sufficiently protected.
The StoGuard assembly is a spray-on building wrap that offers a superior waterproofing/air barrier. StoGuard can be used beneath various claddings including stucco, EIFS, vinyl, cement board, brick and with a wide variety of gypsum, cement or wood based sheathing substrates.
