ATLANTA – (August 31, 2005) Sto Corp., the innovative world leader in cladding, coating, and restoration systems, has launched a new waterproofing/air barrier system as part of the Sto Guard® product family called Sto EmeraldCoat™.
Sto EmeraldCoat™ is a light green, ready mixed, flexible waterproofing material which was specially formulated for use under Portland cement stucco and other claddings. It is applied directly to wall sheathing and functions as a vertical, above grade waterproofing/air barrier when combined with Sto Gold Fill® and Sto Guard® Mesh.
EmeraldCoat™ is a critical component of the Sto Powerwall NExT® (New Exterior Technology) assembly. Aimed specifically at the field-mixed stucco market, Sto Powerwall® Stucco NExT® combines the best of engineered fiber-modified cement stucco with the power of Sto Guard® and technologically advanced elastomeric finishes to create a stucco system. Sto Powerwall Stucco NExT® provides a superior cladding over traditional, field-mixed sand, lime and cement.

· EmeraldCoat™ is Durable. Spray or roller applied, it does not tear or lose its effectiveness with exposure to weather during construction or while in service. This means flexibility in scheduling final cladding assembly without the worry of call backs or a degrading waterproofing/air barrier.
· EmeraldCoat™ is a Water-based Formulation. All Sto Guard® products are safe non-toxic, and VOC compliant. This gives you the ability to save time and money when installing by not needing specialty protection equipment.
· EmeraldCoat™ is Easy to Install Properly. It does not require highly skilled labor to install saving contractors money and time.
