Industry veteran looks to take Sto Corp. to the next level as the industry leader
ATLANTA – (February 14, 2003) Sto Corp, the innovative world leader in cladding, coating and restoration systems, has announced the appointment of David Boivin as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Boivin is succeeding the retiring Macon Lowe, who has been at the helm of Sto Corp. since 1993. David joins Sto Corp. from the CertainTeed Corporation, of Valley Forge, Pa., where he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Insulation Group, for the past six years. He also served as a plant manager for CertainTeed from 1991–1996.
Prior to joining CertainTeed, David managed manufacturing operations in the appliance, rechargeable battery and ceramics industries over a span of six years. He began his career with General Electric, and was financial analyst for several divisions of GE Lighting from 1978-1986.
The search for the CEO position was completed by the Wilmington Group, of Wilmington N.C. David is originally from Boston, Mass, and is a 1978 graduate of Northeastern University. He and his wife Debbie have three children.
