Designed to ease the current concerns of coverage of EIFS clad structures, this Warranty looks to provide a comprehensive materials and workmanship program
ATLANTA – (April 1, 2003) Sto Corp, the innovative world leader in cladding, coating and restoration systems, has unveiled the Sto Assured Performance Warranty Program, a comprehensive 10-year warranty program designed to assure building owners that their Sto NExT cladding will be installed and, most importantly, perform correctly.
The Sto Assured Performance Limited Warranty is a comprehensive materials and workmanship warranty. It is available for any new commercial construction project with Sto NExT Insulated Wall Cladding, provided certain conditions are met, which include, plan review by Sto Corp., and installation by registered installers. It is not available for residential construction.
“It provides a remedy to the building owner for localized repair of defects in the event of a manufacturing defect in materials furnished by Sto Corp., or installation defects on the part of the cladding installer,” said David Boivin, Sto Corp. CEO. He also went on to state that the warranty, backed by Sto Corp., is for a period of ten years and can be extended for an additional five or ten years provided payment is made and certain other conditions are met, at the discretion of the owner and Sto Corp. Finally, the warranty is transferable.
Sto representatives have been holding informational meetings across the United States for the past few weeks with positive reactions from many industry professionals. “We have met with more than 500 architects, contractors, and applicators regarding this industry issue and we seem to have hit a nerve,” said Larry Kushner, director of sales for Sto. “Sto is looking to provide a workable solution to bolster the EIFS market and assist our customers the best way we can.”
